There are many websites in the world, (Google announced in 2008 that it had indexed over 1 trillion unique URLs);  There are also many different ways to create websites and even free methods to design one yourself. This might lead one to wonder why on earth anyone would need another person to do the designing for them.  Along with the time, money and effort involved, we would argue that the answer to this question is in fact Search Engine Optimisation.

The honest truth is that anyone, these days, can design a simple website.  With a bit of practice the site can even be made to look relatively appealing.  Very rarely, however, will the site be adequately optimised to produce the best results.
